Hey Mike,

What's up with your biography? If people aren't asking you questions (which they may or may not be) pretend like they are asking stuff and just make up answers. Ok, I'll ask a question. Before you started playing in this band, did you envision yourself as being in a praise band or did you want to do something different? Was that a desire of your heart or did it just grow on you?

Susanna E.

Dear Susanna,

I’m not sure how I got this good looking. I suppose it just sort of happened that way. And my hair? Well, I can’t give away too many secrets now, can I? Oh, wait, you had a real question… errr….

I guess I never envisioned myself in a praise band per se, or in any sort of band really. I played in a couple of groups in middle and high school (punk and noise rock mainly), but it never really occurred to me that I would be able to do it full time once I graduated from college. Thing was, I had no idea what I would do once I got out of school. I was smart enough to know that unless I became a teacher my music degree was pretty much useless, but I didn’t have much ambition to do anything but something with music, and I would have made a worthless teacher.

So, needless to say, when the opportunity arose to keep playing with the band after I graduated, it seemed like a no brainer. Call it God’s perfect timing or whatever, but I knew that it was the right (and at the time, only) choice.

So there you go. Hope that answered your question. See ya next week.
